What Is Play On Con?
The LEAGUE OF FANDOM AND GAMING (LFG) proudly presents PLAY ON CON (POC), an affordable 4-day science fiction fan convention dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and building a real sense of community with gaming, entertainment, parties, and related events year-round.
What kind of gaming can you wallow in?
We have scheduled these events so far and more to come:
- Collectible Card Games: AL State Munchkin Championship, Magic the Gathering tournaments, and more
- Board Games: Dominion, Red Dragon Inn, Settlers, Puerto Rico, St. Petersburg, Carcassonne, Risk Godstorm, Blue Moon City, Dust, Tide of Iron, Axis and Allies (2004), and more
- Live Action Role Playing: One World by Night LARP and Nero Demo
- Role Playing Games: RPGA Dungeons & Dragons, Shaintar Legends Unleashed, Fading Suns, D20 Modern, and more.
- Miniatures: Crimson Castle is bringing us Privateer Press and Games Workshops, Catalyst Commandos will be running Battle Tech, and we've added Dream Pod 9's Heavy Gear
PLAY ON CON LIVING FORGOTTEN REALMS THEME: Only-At-Play-On-Con!
That's right! We'll be offering the cream of our local Myrealms adventures in addition to slotted standard modules. MORE MYRE CONTENT WILL BE ADDED SOON. THE COORDINATOR IS CHECKING ON WRITER/JUDGE AVAILABILITY
There is even a rumor that we might be able to host Gencon Slot 0s at our event. Please email the coordinator if you are a Gencon judge and will be attending POC-IV.
Slots will be trimmed as sign-ups become available. We will provide 3 tables for most LFR slots with plenty of overflow space if we add more GMs. Our new venue is the Birmingham Marriot, so.. space: We can Haz.
With the new format of Living Forgotten Realms modules in 2011 we will be listing old mods by the original tiers and requesting APL information for sign-ups for the newer modules.

Who is running the games?
Judging 12 hours of POC-offered content entitles you to a free registration. All volunteer judges must be approved by gaming staff and there is a pre-registration form that will be emailed to you. Contact playonkelvin via gmail or tuscaloosasteve by yahoo
